Though my passion for writing first drew me to this field, I’ve expanded my skill set significantly during my two years as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Illinois Wesleyan University. I’ve developed hands-on experience in photography, videography, and graphic design while continually working to strengthen my writing and finding creative ways to tell the student-athlete story. As a former student-athlete myself, I learned firsthand how impactful strong storytelling and media presence can be on a program and the student-athlete experience. I’ve been in the sports communications industry for over seven years – as a student assistant, graduate assistant, and now a full-timer – and am committed to growing in this industry to be the best college sports communicator I can be.
